Once you are an Administrator you will need to login to the VHD on each computer and follow the below.

  • Open an Office application – Word Excel, or Access (The first time Office runs there are some popups etc. and initial setup.  This would cause exams to crash if it is not done first.)
  • Open Console 8 and login using your Certiport account.  Down the bottom of the screen you will see the test centre currently set (Department of….) on the right hand side will be a drop down arrow which will allow you to change the test centre to your school test centre.
  • Log back into Console 8.  You will see that there are more buttons available.
    1. Check that there are no system/console and/or Microsoft Office Specialist updates available.  If there are some available please run the updates.
    2. Back at the home screen, please select Diagnostic and go through the steps to run a configuration exam.  If this runs successfully there should be no difficulties running actual exams.
